Whole30 Day 4

Day 4 Recap:

I was TIRED today! Just plain fatigued.  I think the cause of it was multi faceted.  The last 2 nights I went to bed later than usual, my body is fighting off a cold and TOM is a couple days out.

I took it pretty easy today. I did my strength workout (push-ups, dips & chin-ups [mostly "negatives", but I did manage a few "full"]) 6 sets/5 reps + 30 minutes of Pilates + random housework :)

Breakfast:

Asparagus + 2 fried eggs.  Coffee w/coconut milk (not pictured)
I really stink at frying eggs. I usually ask my husband do it. With him at work, I had to muddle through, not very well.

Lunch:

Tuna w/mashed avocado and parsley, a bit of apple w/sunflower seed butter, carrots & cucumber
Dinner:
Pot roast, asparagus, mash turnips, carrots & onion

I went the comfort food route this evening.  I love pot roast!  It definitely hit the spot.

What is your "comfort food" meal?

Mash potatoes are my comfort food, with lots of butter. But since I don't eat that I make up a big bowl of cauliflower mash with ghee, salt and pepper...that hits the spot every time. Hope your feeling better tomorrow :-)

Chocolate! Hehe.

How many grams of protein do you aim for?

I need to make pot roast! Between you and Jess I have this long list of "I need to's" haha! I was really tired yesterday afternoon and I think I'm fighting off a cold too. I guess I need rest too...

Pot roast is definitely a comfort food here too! Your plate looked delish! Giving you so much credit for feeling tired you did a heck of a lot... my inspiration for today even if I'm tired I will push through!

@Pink- When I'm logging with MFP I generally shoot for 125-150g of protein daily.

@Kristen- I bought the pot roast on a whim because it was cheap lol. I'm glad I did, because it was perfect for the "comfort" aspect. Hope you don't get full-blown sick!! Rest (Ha!)

I'm horrible at frying eggs too! The husband rocks at it. He says I have the heat too high, but I want my eggs NOW! Whatever, they're cooked. That's the goal, right?

Pot roast is the bomb. I wish I was eating it right now ...
