Whole30 Day 16

I got an unpleasant surprise this morning when I went out to take my daughter to school.

UGH. Really?! Over the past few weeks there has been a rash of broken car windows in the neighborhood. Whoever is doing it, they are breaking windows, just to break windows. Stupid vandal.

Anyway, I had to spend time and money dealing with that. Again I say...UGH.

On to the food....

Pre-workout: (before finding the car)
Coffee w/coconut milk
Breakfast:
Ground turkey, purple cabbage & kale
Lunch:
Leftovers from breakfast + pork roast & berry balsamic glaze
And a handful of almonds
Dinner:

Roasted chicken, sweet potato, snap peas & cabbage salad from Everyday Paleo

Exercise: Strength (barbell squats, single leg calf raise, alternating kb swings) 6 sets/5 reps + 2 15 min walks to drop off & pick up car.

Overall: I felt great today, despite the stress of the broken window. Mid afternoon I wanted to eat, but I wasn't really hungry. I am finding though that I must eat dinner by 5 p.m. otherwise I feel light headed because I am too hungry. Finding the right balance is something I'm working on :) as are we all, I think.

Oh, that window is just too lame! What a bummer, I hope you can get it fixed without too much trouble.
