If you haven't figured it out already, I am a BIG proponent of strength training, especially for women! There are so many women who fear "getting bulky" if they weight train. Let me assure you, you don't have the hormones for that! The body building women who get big, that doesn't happen by accident. It takes a lot of effort and supplementation to achieve that look. Since muscle takes up less space than fat, the only thing you will accomplish by training with weights is a tighter, firmer body (well, you might feel like bad ass too). Amen!! Strength training also strengthens our bones, helping reduce chances for osteoporosis .. Nothing to lose, everything to gain!
Yay! Strength training is SO good for you, I'm so happy to see it encouraged! I used to power lift in college, and some of the girls I trained with were TINY, but could out-bench the dudes.
Lifting weights is my favorite thing to do! Love this!

I've just come across your blog and wanted to say first off excellent job on your progress! Secondly I also LOVE strength training! My husband tried for 2 years to get me to lift heavy weights and I was always resistant that is until I went paleo and read and read and read and listened to all these people saying LIFT HEAVY and then I did and now I LOVE IT! I love it even more that the gym I go to is full of body builder type guys, hardly any girls and I'm the one girl there lifting those weights! :)
