Meet my new friend...

I got to thinking that I need to do some lifting to tone up the arms and shoulders. So, today I bought something like this....Mine is actually a 15 pounder, not a 45 lb, but you get the idea. I only got one, which my husband thinks is hilarious, but next time I'm at Wally World I'll pick up another. They aren't expensive, but I just didn't want to spend another $13 when I can make do with the one for now. I really want to tone up my arms so I made the decision to work at it. Shoulders, biceps & triceps hopefully have met their match. I've always had bigger arms (in my opinion), so now it's time to buff 'em up.
Anyway, I'm having a good week all around. Hope you are too! For those of you competing in the skinny mini challenge, don't forget to shoot me an email on the 15th and let me know how you're doing. Can't wait to hear the updates!

Hey there - thanks for the comment you left regarding "Where Art Thou Baggy Pants."

Back in gear is exactly what I need to do. I've really been in a slump mentally and can't quite seem to shake it. But I will. I have to and I'll be all the more stronger for it:)

Love your new friend! My husband and I were just talking about buying some free weights. I just hate buying equipment and not using it, i.e.; ankle weights (used once), jump rope (where it is today I've got NO idea), dvd (used once) - you get the picture.

You're so close to your goal. I'm rootin' for you!

Miss Lucy, I've been there! I know the feeling of not being mentally in the game so to speak. You'll get there.
I know what you mean about buying stuff with good intentions. That's kinda why I bought one....just to be sure I'll use it :)

HOORAY! Iron for you! Next time....maybe look for a whole bar bell. (look for sales..lots of weight sets are on sale right now...my husband got an 80 pound set with several weights and a bar for $40!) More versatility and so many good exercises you can do. I have this feeling that you can lift a whole lot more than 15 pounds with those arms! :)

I don't know if you have tried Jillian Michaels 30 day shred. It builds up arm muscles like you wouldn't believe! I love it. I get my cardio in WHILE I build up my arms!
