Finally, the scale is showing some progress again! I've been bouncing up and down 5-7 lbs for a while and it felt like the scale wasn't ever going to get below 145...EVER. But guess what, I just kept at it. I figured if I was "perfect" for 2 weeks and the scale hadn't moved below 145ish, fine. That was it, 145 was the end. I was gonna call it good. But then I concentrated on eating clean, varying my calories (the calorie cycling I mentioned a few posts ago), and exercising as per my plan. And it paid off.
I am 1-frickin' 42! I am 6 away from goal, and 3 from being 130-something. I ran 3 miles yesterday in 22:32 (that's a 7:30 mi). I'm as happy as a clam this morning. Can't you just feel the excitement....Yee-haw! (Okay, no more coffee for me this morning!)
Anyway, it seems to me that my body was used to me getting to the 145 point and then losing it and noshing away and gaining back. It had to make sure I was serious about this current mode so it hung out at the one number till finally there was no choice but to move. It's like my body said "Oh, okay, you're serious this time." So, for those of you in the same boat, {and I know you're out there reading this}, show your body you are serious! Concentrate on what you know needs to be done and keep moving forward...

SA-WEET!!! Congrats!! Same story here... got on the scale this morning and I'm back to my "safe zone".
Oh and way to go on that run!! That's awesome!!! Was that on the treadmill?
Thanks Leslie :) Good job getting back into your safe zone!
I am a treadmill moron...I cannot run on the TM. Can't get my stride right, can't get the speed right. So, I am thankful to live in a place with a temperate winter climate (Central CA) that doesn't get too cold. I did go running in the rain yesterday but that urged me on a bit faster I think...
Congratulations! That's fantastic, and I'm going to read back and find your post about calorie cycling - sounds interesting, and obviously effective!
You just kept doing the right things, and got great results. Very inspiring!
I am soooooo glad for you! A big whoop-whoop in the house for Tiffany! OH that must have felt so good! I can only imagine that for now (for myself) but my turn is coming!! What a great example to just keep on keeping on!
A HUGE thumbs up!
Wow that is SO awesome! And a 7:30 minute mile? That is CRAZY good. I am lucky to be better than a 12 right now...haha! I think i run slower than I walk. Anyway, you are doing amazing!
I'm in the same boat, I'm at my lowest adult weight (or a pound or two below) and the scale's been bouncing around for about a month or more. This is not that unusual for me, I always lose by the "whoosh" effect-nothing nothing nothing, 5 pounds gone. Salt/water/hormones whatever. I just wrote about how my eating habits creep slowly out of whack, so now I'm returning back, hopefully that'll do it.
I'm in that boat too....we can picture it being one of those crew boats that we all row together! Stroke! Stroke! Let's all get er done!
NICE JOB ON THE DOWNWARD MOVE TIFF! OMG. 142. I think I might have weighed that in the 4th grade....LOL. (actually...I have no idea what I weighed as a kid...I am just guessing)
And..dang..you run fast. Speedy skinny fit beautiful Tiffany! 130s here you come!
That is awesome!! Great job!!
GReat Job! you are so close and I am very excited for you! looking at your before and after pictures - a whole new woman! thanks for inspiring me to keep up the good fight.
