2 in 22

That's right, I jogged 2 miles this evening in 22 minutes. For me, at my current fitness level, that's great! Ultimately I want to be able to get under a 10 minute mile, but we have a ways to go yet. That's okay though. What's important is that I'm making progress. Next week I'm shooting for 3 miles. The 5K I want to run is creeping up fast. I've still got 3 weeks, but that will be over before I know it. The last couple days have been a little rough food-wise, but I made better choices than I would have in the past, though I did indulge in 2 pieces of pie today...oops! Therefore, I went for a run :P See, choices- eat the extra piece, go for a run. All I have to say is, it was worth it! And, that's a good lesson to learn. It's ok to splurge, as long as you are willing to pay the piper. Tomorrow is a new day also, and Dylan goes back to work. I have the menu planned out for the week, my grocery shopping is done...I'm ok. I'm not going into a downhill slide. Right back on track tomorrow. This is not something I've been able to do in the past. It's either been all or nothing, I'm dieting or gorging. Balance is something I'm really striving for this time around, and so far I'm doing well! Go me!

Sounds like you have a great attitude!!!! We are moms and being comfortable in that is what really matters. Congrats on your time on the 2 mile. I can't even run a 1/2 mile let alone 2. Good job!!
